Terms of Use

These terms apply to the Whereabouts mobile app ("Whereabouts", "the app") and this website, both provided by APEX VISION TECHNOLOGIES L.L.C ("we", "us"), Dubai, United Arab Emirates. By installing or using Whereabouts you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. What Whereabouts is

Whereabouts is a personal record of where you have put your belongings. It shows you what you have entered (a name, a place, a container, a photo) and reminders you have asked for. It does not track items by itself, does not use your location, and cannot know where something is if it was not stored in the app or has been moved without telling it.

2. Your data and your responsibility

Everything you store is entered by you and kept on your device. The app reads what you say or type on a best-effort basis and always shows you what it understood before saving; you are responsible for checking it. Reminders depend on your phone's settings (notifications, battery optimisation, Do Not Disturb). Whereabouts is not liable for any loss arising from a lost, misplaced, lent or forgotten item, or from a missed or incorrect reminder.

3. Whereabouts Pro

Whereabouts Pro is an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or yearly) sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play at the price shown in the app. Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings; Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. If a one-time lifetime purchase is offered, it is a single payment for the same features on that store account.

4. Acceptable use

You may use Whereabouts for your own personal or household record-keeping. You may not reverse-engineer, resell, or use the app to build a competing service, use it to store content that is illegal, or use it in a way that breaks the law or the store's terms.

5. Availability and changes

We may change, suspend or stop features of Whereabouts at any time, including the words the app recognises. We may update these terms; the date above shows the current version. Continued use after a change means you accept it.

6. No warranty

Whereabouts is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranties about accuracy, availability or fitness for a particular purpose, and our total liability to you for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for Whereabouts Pro in the twelve months before the claim.

7. Privacy

How Whereabouts handles data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Nothing in them limits rights you have as a consumer under applicable law.
