SchoolbagTerms of Use

These terms apply to the Schoolbag mobile app ("Schoolbag", "the app") and this website, both provided by APEX VISION TECHNOLOGIES L.L.C ("we", "us"), Dubai, United Arab Emirates. By installing or using Schoolbag you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. What Schoolbag is
Schoolbag reads school notices you share into it and turns the dated items it finds into calendar events and reminders. It works from the text you give it. It has no connection to any school, does not receive notices by itself, and cannot know about anything that was not shared into it.
2. Your data and your responsibility
Everything in the app is entered or shared by you and kept on your device. The app finds dates and events on a best-effort basis and always shows you what it found, with the sentence it came from, before anything is confirmed. You are responsible for checking it. Reminders depend on your phone's settings (notifications, battery optimisation, Do Not Disturb). Schoolbag is not liable for any loss arising from a missed, late, mis-dated or mis-assigned event, fee or reminder.
3. Smart reading with your own key
If you add your own Anthropic API key, the app sends notice text to Anthropic under your account. Your use of that service is governed by Anthropic's terms, and any charges it incurs are billed by Anthropic to you. Keep your key private; you can remove it from the app at any time. We do not receive your key or the text.
4. Schoolbag Pro
Schoolbag Pro is sold through Google Play or the Apple App Store at the price shown in the app, as an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or yearly) or as a one-time purchase. Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Google Play or App Store account settings; Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for. Refunds are handled by Google or Apple under their policies.
5. Acceptable use
You may use Schoolbag for your own family's record-keeping. You may not reverse-engineer, resell, or use the app to build a competing service, use it to process content that is illegal or that you have no right to use, or use it in a way that breaks the law or the store's terms.
6. Availability and changes
We may change, suspend or stop features of Schoolbag at any time, including how notices are read. We may update these terms; the date above shows the current version. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
7. No warranty
Schoolbag is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranties about accuracy, availability or fitness for a particular purpose, and our total liability to you for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for Schoolbag Pro in the twelve months before the claim.
8. Privacy
How Schoolbag handles data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Emirate of Dubai and the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates. Disputes are subject to the courts of Dubai, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection you have where you live.
