Reminders are not arriving
- Open Me → Notifications troubleshooting. It shows whether Dues has permission and offers a test reminder.
- Android: check the phone's battery settings and make sure Dues is not restricted; some phones (Xiaomi, Huawei, Samsung "sleeping apps") silence background apps.
- iPhone: Settings → Notifications → Dues → Allow Notifications; also check Focus modes.
- A reminder is one notification per bill, at the time set for that bill (3 days before at 9:00 am by default). Change it in the bill's detail screen.
Mark paid automatically is not working (Pro)
- Android: Me → Mark paid automatically → Bank app notifications must show "Access granted". If not, tap it and enable Dues under Notification access.
- The bank or biller must be one Dues recognises (Emirates NBD, ADCB, Mashreq, FAB, DEWA, du, e&), and the amount in the message must match the bill.
- Tap Check now to process anything captured while the app was closed.
- iPhone: paste the confirmation into the box on the same screen and tap Read it.
- If a message from a supported bank is not recognised, email us a copy with the account and card numbers removed and we will add the format.
Moving to a new phone
- Your data is in your phone's normal backup (iCloud or Google), so restoring the phone restores Dues.
- To move between platforms: Me → Backup → Back up to file on the old phone, then Me → Backup → Restore from file on the new one. Bills are merged; nothing is deleted.
- The app-lock passcode is never backed up. Set it again under Me → App lock after a restore.
- Dues Pro follows your App Store or Google Play account. Open the paywall and tap Restore purchases on the new device.
The widget is empty or out of date
- Open Dues once after installing or restoring — the widget is filled the first time the app runs.
- The widget updates itself every 30 minutes and the moment a bill changes in the app. If it still looks stale, remove it and add it again from Me → Reminders → Home-screen widget.
- Some launchers block widget pinning from apps; long-press the home screen → Widgets → Dues instead.
Switching language or appearance
- Me → Language: System, English or العربية. Choosing Arabic restarts Dues in a right-to-left layout; switching back restarts it again.
- Me → Appearance: System, Light or Dark. System follows the phone's dark-mode schedule.
Pay now opened the wrong page
Pay now prefers a payment link you saved on the bill, then the biller's app if it is installed, then the biller's website. To point it somewhere specific, edit the bill and fill in Payment link. If a biller's site has moved, tell us and we will update the pack.
I forgot my app-lock passcode
The passcode is stored only in your phone's secure keychain, so it cannot be reset by us or recovered. Reinstalling Dues clears the passcode and the data on that phone — restore from a backup afterwards. If Face ID or fingerprint is turned on, that still unlocks the app.
Cancelling Dues Pro
- iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Dues.
- Android: Google Play → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Dues.
- Cancelling stops the next renewal; Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google.
Deleting my data
Uninstall the app. Dues has no server and no account, so there is nothing else to delete. Any backup files you exported are yours to keep or remove.
Something else
Write to hello@apexvisionerp.com. Including your phone model, OS version and the Dues version from Me → About helps.
